By far the most amazing tool I own for removing pinstipes, stickers, seam sealer and underbody rustproofingis a Snap On Crud Thug. It uses a rubber wheel and that is what I recommend for pinstripes that are stickers. 3M makes them for drills and they are cost effective. It also has stainless wheels that remove a 3/4" wide path, perfect for seams. If your pinstripes are painted on, becareful. dylan ________________________________ From: Bobby Brown <bobbybrown1@GMAIL.COM> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Mon, February 15, 2010 9:49:30 AM Subject: best method/chemical/tool to remove very old pinstripe material Fellow listees, What best experience do you have removing the old pinstriping? Goo Gone & plastic scraper? Mineral Spirits? Razor blade? Rubber eraser wheel on drill? Please give me your experience. Thanks. -- Bobby Brown
