I stand corrected. They looked like PZ bumpers when viewed with my
phone.
For the record, RM bumpers might look very different but they are still
inspired by the PZ bumpers IMHO. Projektzwo bumpers predates all these
other
iterations by decades. Anyway, $2500 for a pair of PZ's is almost as
bad as
RM prices. As far as value eventual value is concerned, I'll bet PZ
bumpers
will be much more sought after decades from now. You really have to see
them
in person to appreciate their quality vs. the US made counterparts.
Ironically, those German designers were probably inspired by the tube
bumpers found on American 4X4 trucks all over the US.

What came first? The chicken fillet flat ends of the knock-offs or the
egg-shaped ends of the PZ bumpers. I'll bet it was the fried Ferd or the
potato Chivey.

Dear BenT Toobs still confused about PZ Bumpers,

Ben, you gotta get your PZ Bumpers straight.... (get it straight)

True enough there are the original Projektzwo (Pz) tube bumpers.
Beautifully constructed with a price tag few mortals could afford.
Then began the numerous variations of the Pz Originals.
Then there are the original PZ Bumpers...ala 2002!
See photos, unfortunately, stripped by gerry.
The PZ bumpers are off a Volvo 240 with some welding and shaping!
Probably cost about the same as the original German Pz.... 8>)
