In the East Bay (SF Area) I found a tow truck operator that will haul away carcasses or partial carcasses for free, even now when scrap prices are way down.

And yes, I've crushed vans that would make Benny Boy (and other easteners) cry...

If you cannot get paid for your scrap, you can always post it on CL as a free item, someone will take it...
