Hi all. Van was driving fine but transmission noisy. Swapped transmission and input shaft. (DK) Tested up on blocks. Seemed ok. Test drive: reverse fine, BUT all forward gears feel like 4th gear. "H" feels the same as before swap. I'm just about certain flanges/input shaft turned at appropriate speeds on bench. On bench, shift lever on tranny felt fine. Same as old one. Likely I got something wrong in linkage where shift lever on side of tranny meets the box on shift rod. What am I missing? It only goes together one way where those parts meet right? Or is something hinky at levers/springs in nose of tranny? Really confused...... need beer.
