Sound deadening material, a foil layered over butyl rubber with adhesive. Fatmat, Dynamat, there are a bunch of the. I used some Fat Mat inside my front doors when I upgraded the speakers. I'm satisfied that my speakers handle bass without vibrating the door so much. But I hear tell of those who line practically the whole interior, at least the entire floor, with this stuff and love the quietude. I've also heard of people opting for a cheaper roofing material of similar construction. I'm wary of using materials specifically rated for non-occupied spaces inside enclosed spaces. Offgassing is a nasty business. -Peter On Mon, Mar 15, 2010 at 9:36 PM, Bernadette Straub <bbrhinos@gmail.com>wrote: > whats dynamat? > > On Mon, Mar 15, 2010 at 8:57 PM, Phil Baird <mypactor@pacbell.net> wrote: > > > Has anyone installed Dynamat in their Vanagons? > > > > > > > > Were you happy with the results? > > > > > > > > Thanks.Phil in Bakersfield > > > > > > -- > > Bernadette >
