Just got my first Westy and it wasn't runnning when I picked it up, not my
first Volkswagen but I am no mechanic and now that we have her running we
are trying to work out the kinks.  Anyway, it putters like it's not getting
enough fuel while in 2 gear pretty regularly and then the other day (while
in 2nd gear) it jut died, so I pulled off and tried to start it....nothing
on the first and second try, no gas at all....then 3rd try started right
up.  Now running like nothing ever happened.  My mechanic can't get it to
re-create the problem.  Any suggestions or advice, similar experiences
anyone.  I don't want to get stranded.
