To all Vanagon owners still using gas engines: PLEASE check those fuel
lines, and replace the plastic firewall 'T' if you haven't already! (mine
developed a leak at the T which sprayed fuel onto the starter and exhaust -
I was lucky enough to catch it in time.)

The local papers on the weekend had photos of yet another nice Vanagon Westy
going up in flames. This is the second one I've seen locally in recent
years. The first one I came upon just after it started, and it was a very
sad sight. My brother also lost his '68 Bus many years ago this way.

So if you haven't checked, or the van is new to you, do yourself a favour
and check/replace those lines! These vans are getting harder to replace
every day!
