Here in Florida all the fuel has some ethanol mixed in....they say up to 10%. I've noted no ill effects on my WBX except a drop in fuel economy, from 18-19 to 17. And since the 10% alcohol is only supposed to drop fuel economy 2%, then either it affects the WBX more or part of it is an aging motor. Anthony'89 Syncro GL (Hidalgo) --- On Wed, 3/31/10, Scott Chapman <scott_list@MISCHKO.COM> wrote: From: Scott Chapman <scott_list@MISCHKO.COM> Subject: Ethanol "enriched" fuel and '85 Westy To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Date: Wednesday, March 31, 2010, 8:54 PM Is this ethanol added to fuel going to cause problems with my "new" Westy? Is there anything to be done to mitigate it if it's a problem? Thanks, Scott
