I'm assuming it's 12VDC for your vanagon? You need a SPDT switch because you will only be switching the 12V side. FYI: SPST = on/off SPDT = on/on or on/off/on if it has a center position DPXX = same as above but switches 2 separate legs or circuits at the same time. Center leads will be common or in your case power coming in - 2 outside leads will be switched or power to the 2 appliances. Hi folks: Just a quick question about switches: I need a switch that when toggled in one position will operates one appliance, and when toggled in the other position will operates a second, different appliance. Do I need a single pole double throw switch, or a double pole, double throw switch? I'm guessing the latter, but wanted to doublecheck. The SPDT would operate two appliances at the same time then presumably vs a SPST? Just a bit confused here on how these work. Thanks, Troy
