I suppose I'm lazy sometimes about clamping hoses, and clamping on one to reduce the flow is fine. I even have a pliers like tool that locks to whatever size , just for that. I've seen fuel hoses pinched with a tool until it was fully closed off, like in technical instructions. That has never seemed like a nice thing to do to a fuel hose to me. ( the radio in Hanalei, Kauai, Hawaii, is telling Right Now that it's a gorgeous day with sun/rain and mainly rainbows, and the light is golden even ) ..sorry ! not fridae. I am so bad. Can't help it sometimes , lol ) ----- Original Message ----- From: "neil n" <musomuso@gmail.com> To: "Scott Daniel - Turbovans" <scottdaniel@turbovans.com> Cc: <vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com> Sent: Sunday, April 11, 2010 9:12 AM Subject: Re: Can I drain coolant from someplace more accessible? > On Sat, Apr 10, 2010 at 1:57 PM, Scott Daniel - Turbovans > <scottdaniel@turbovans.com> wrote: > >> just undo the bottom radiator hoses and catch all that coolant. >> no need to go near the engine end of the system at all. > > > For a newb, would a wood clamp provide a little control over potential > mess?
