Hi all.

This is regarding the WBX transmission + linkage I installed in my '81.

Drove it around the block, all gears "found", no crunches/noise, but
shifter not as easy to move as air cooled was. Feels like it's
dragging. I still suspect a linkage issue, and have a few more things
to try (thanks Scott Daniel), but to narrow things down.....

I have read that a failing or failed 3-4 hub is felt in 3-4 only. Makes sense.

Since shifter drags in all gears, silly question, but when 3-4 hub is
failing, is anything felt in 1-2 ?

Descriptions of what a failing 3-4 hub feels like would be most welcome.

Sometimes, shifting into 4th (engine off) it catches a *little* then
goes into place. Because linkage is stiff, can't tell if it's a
linkage adjustment or alignment issue or the 3-4 hub going south.
