Hi,

good suggestions by others, will add...

-split heater box and replace foam gaskets
-stick on a strip of peel and seal on body sheet metal
-check over bearing surfaces on the pedal assembly your installing -
bushings, shafts, etc
-check condition of the rubber steering couplers

good luck

Hi,

I am about to remove the dash in my 85 westy, and I'm wondering what
people would advise me to do while it's off. (It's automatic, but the
work I'm doing right now is to convert to manual.)

I have very little in terms of maintenance records from the past
owner(s), so if there's something under there that needs maintenance,
it would probably be a good idea.

Oil fan? Master brake cylinder? Do the fan relay thing?

Thanks in advance,

mike
