in how the van sounds, closing doors, driving it. Total transformation when
you cover those
long sheet metal panels with almost any amount of insulating material. The
"ring" stops
completely and what's left is at most, a thud, like a high end vehicle
usually has.

I'm "guessing" that the heat/cold exchange from ambient to interior is
greatly affected
as well. Especially driving in very cold climates, given that the rubber
seals are in
reasonably good shape.
