What, you don't have a calibrated bearing screwdriver? ;-)

With new bearings, it's a good idea to check play after a few hundred miles,
pop the cap off and re-check that thrust washer for side play. Or jack the
wheel up and check for play, if it's tight, then probably ok, but usually
new bearings will seat in a bit and need another 1/8 turn or so.
