hey Scott I have seen that head used with the EFI system  guy used  type 1
oil cooler seals and just glued them in . Had it in a vannie westy also.
ran really good.   I myself am running a 92 jetta motor in my 85  weekender
and I am real happy with it so far.  later  mark  d
