Yikes, I'm in the process of rebuilding mine. Please share what you find.

The PO had a top end rebuild done just before I bought it. I found it had
cooling problems on the first long drive.  A very small amount of combustion
gases were escaping to the cooling system.  After a new radiator, I got it
figured out. The shop the PO used said if they agreed to a redo, they'd
insist on new heads (at an inflated price).  Additionally they swapped an
instrument cluster into the van that showed 80k more miles than I had going
in. I went back and got my instrument cluster - but I'll never be their
customer again.
