I used some adhesive from Lowes in the paint and caulk aisle that is applied with caulk gun. 3.50 a tube and is listed as safe for foam and foamboard applications. Does not melt the foam. Used a roller to smooth the carpet. Used between the foam and metal and then again between the foam and carpet. Blue tube. Took two tubes.
