I have the Colgan Bra on my 84, but only leave it on there for road trips to avoid rock chips/bugs/etc. The rest of the time it gathers dust in my garage. I do not obsess about it getting wet & left on the van, but it doesn't get left on there for extended periods & no problems. I do make sure it is off if I wash the van, FWIW. The Colgan, at least the one I have, does not fit great around the turn indicator lights or when it is shrunken in cold weather. YMMV, Mr. BZ- hate shrinkage of all kinds On May 6, 2010, at 12:04 PM, Scott Daniel - Turbovans wrote: > One concern I have about Bras is the paint getting stained > underneath it > from when the bra gets wet. > I suspect that a higher quality one would be better about this than > a cheap > on. > > You're in a dry climate so not much of an issue I imagine, but one > of my > vans .. > ( rare 83 5-speed Sunroof Diesel Vanagon , for sale ) ....has a big > stain on > the noise, from just that ....leaving a wet bra on it , > Maybe months or years at a time, pretty sure ...and it's taking me > quite a > while to get that stain off there. > > something to consider.
