I would be using it in remote locations, but not as remote if I had a Synchro per-say. Uses would include; Interior lights at night for cards and reading, sink pump while camping and maybe a little music here and there. Maybe plug in Laptop to upload pictures. The main reason is to protect against draining the main battery so I can drive the 30 miles of gravel or what not to get back to civilization. I am never really anywhere too long and usually there is driving to run shuttles for the drift boat, which would re-charge the battery a little I would think? > Date: Mon, 10 May 2010 18:02:13 -0600 > From: mtbiker62@GMAIL.COM > Subject: Re: Battery for Aux in my 84 Westy > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > > http://www.batteryuniverse.com/Sealed-Lead-Acid/Universal-Battery/UB12220/GZ12180NB_Universal-Battery_UB12220_Sealed-Lead-Acid-Battery > I'd recommend 4 of these at a total of 88AH. > Good info here: > http://www.westyventures.com/parts.html > Once there, scroll down. > > But then, you don't say what you're going to be using the aux set up to > support. > Audio may not take much, or may take a lot depending on what you are using > your van for.
