I wish I could take credit for that much foresight! No, I was just wrong. I though that in 86, along with the 2.1 litre motor, came larger tires (205s instead of 185s). My mistake! Jeff ps I have (perhaps incorrectly) been using Michelin LTXs for about 15 years with no issues (195 75 14s load range C). They replaced Continentals that came with the van when i bought it, which were like slicks in the snow. > > From: David Beierl <dbeierl@attglobal.net> > Date: 2010/05/13 Thu AM 09:35:08 CDT > To: Jeff Palmer <jpalmer@MTS.NET> > CC: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM, > Scott Daniel - Turbovans <scottdaniel@turbovans.com> > Subject: Re: Tires in Canada > > At 12:59 AM 5/13/2010, Jeff Palmer wrote: > >I mentioned it was an 85 because i thought the wheels got bigger in 86, non? > > Dear Jeff, > > You mentioned it was an '85 because we *always* mention what > particular vehicle we've got, oui?
