Subject:Re: syncro has vibration

if its speed related, and it sounds like it is, it most probably is
bad u-joints on drive shaft or mis-aligned driveshaft (vis-a-vis
front diff and tranny orientation). drive shaft rpm is speed
dependent, not engine rpm.

it can be worse things, but let's be optimistic :)

gas gauge, could be sender failure (pita) or wire/connection broken,
or gage broken.

btw, don't forget to check if VC working, here is a good link for
study material, scroll down, read it all :)

hello most knowledgeable Vanaguys.
I am looking to buy syncro westy.
after driving one today i noticed it had a vibration in only 3rd gear
around 3700 rpm...
i tried revving it to 3700 in other gears with no vibe noticed.

anybody have ideas on where to start or had a similar issue?

also the gas gauge does not work... from the little bit i have heard
this can be a nightmare? anybody know about these?

open to any and all thoughts and opinions

thanks
