folks, I'm helping a neighbor with her eurovan. it is a ~93 with a manual tranny. Just like in a vanagon, the shifter has 'fallen down' about 6 inches. i can't seem to figure out what is missing / broken and the book's schematics are not that helpful. Is this a common problem and should i just be able to call my favorite vendor and have them send me the part? it is NOT assembled like the vanagon shifter setup, but more like a golf/rabbit setup. I don't want to get too involved in this project, but would like to be a nice neighbor and help fix her rig, or at least, get it drivable enough so she can take it to my favorite shop for service.
