I found my little magnetic ammeter, and a quick-and-dirty check on a
warmish start shows peaks at about 200 amps.  Might be more as the
placement on the wire wasn't ideal.  FWIW this beast has seemed to be
to be a somewhat difficult cranker from the beginning.
