IIRC you can make all ready, then quickly swap one for the other
without losing much coolant -- a pint or so maybe?  Of course you
could always use the Approved Method -- sink the entire vehicle in
coolant and work with a glove box or waldoes or a diving suit as
appropriate.  No bleeding necessary, and the neighborhood cats will
clean up the upholstery for you. <weg>
