'fewer' turns lock to lock, but that's ok. it's 'fewer turns' or 'less turning' but nobody knows that any more. Have you still got the larger non PS steering wheel on your 84, or the smaller PS one. ? how about this .. I'll trade you one of those cool Jetta padded steering wheels with the four small horn buttons .. and slightly smaller than vanagon diameter ....I understand they'll fit on Vanagons..........for your manual rack, then you'll have a super cool 84 with very upgraded steering. I'll swap you for the rack. We each pay our own shipping. eh ? and Ben, can't you find me a good deal on a non-leaking Power Steering rack..? ? !! what kind of moderator are you anyway ? ! ( ps...correct English usuage is a reguirement for moderators I thought ) . ----- Original Message ----- From: "BenT Syncro" <syncro@GMAIL.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Wednesday, June 09, 2010 1:39 PM Subject: Unpowered PS rack impressions plus manual rack FS > Drove my 84 GL for the first time since converting to an 86 GL front > end with PS.
