Dear Greg,

A vicious flame war? You must have led a sheltered life.  If this
list were subject to vicious flame wars nobody you like would belong
to it.  Disagreements here have been generally conducted rather
politely, and we aim to keep it that way, hence Ben's masterly post today.  :-)
