RE: Camping Info Online
I have to echo the other posts on this site. Looking at two areas I'm very
familiar with, Washington and Oregon, all that is shown are a few commercial
RV parks but no State, local, of FS campgrounds. As for downloading there
are many, many sources for GPS POI files that can be loaded into a GPS or
.est files for loading into computer trip planning/mapping programs like
Streets & Trips and are more useful than capturing web pages. For those
that are interested you might join the Yahoo! group campingtipsgroup. Their
files section is a monster library of files for just such. There is even
one file that is supposed to be (and does appear to be) every FS campground
in the US. And a very interesting commercial site was pointed out to me
recently, <

I haven't purchased it but it looks very interesting for those of us that
like to use our GPS or S&T for helping to find campgrounds.
