Subject:Learning A Lot About Weekenders-Dometic Fridge

Wow, it's fun buying a "new" camper and discovering all the stuff the PO left behind. So far I have found a ton of fishing gear, the PO's current passport, tons of service receipts with previous POs names and addresses, plus the original owners manual and camper supplement. As I mentioned my 2 prior Vanagons were '84 full campers. I didn't know 'til I found the camper supplement there is the hook up for an aux. battery! There isn't one there, but the connections are. Also, I posted earlier that the Dometic fridge (which I now see covered in the supplement) didn't work as told to me by the PO. Well, it does work, at least on 110. I don't know how he could say it didn't work on 12v, as the 12v plug is damaged. I plugged it into 110 about an hour and a half ago and its now cold. So, I still really don't want it and will probably sell it. Seats don't swivel! Duh, I guess when I was looking at it I didn't even think about that, but obviously the drivers side can't because of the seat behind it and I guess the passengers side because of the fridge. I may have to look for a swivel base, I'd like for at least the passenger side to swivel. Jeff
