Anyone else experiencing > this kind of oil shiv through the wallet with Mobil One? $7.99 per quart here at all FLAPS. I don't use it, I now use Pennzoil 20W-50 (did use Castrol 20W-50, about which we won't talk). I change the oil every 3K miles, so don't worry too much about what oil I use, so long as it is within the weight grade recommended by VW and meets current engineering criteria. BTW, I don't buy oil from FLAPS, either, though I do notice their prices. I buy it from a local wholesaler, which doesn't care whether I am buying fifty cases or one, and accepts my credit card. $26.33 for a case of 12 Pennzoil 20W50 last time I bought. It was $3.49 per quart at local FLAPS. I was quoted $58.68 for a case of 12 Mobil 1 (15W50) at the wholesaler. David McNeely
