I mention it.......about cruise control and LED brake lights , because .. Marco of BusLabs in Berkely just had a challenging deal fixing cruise control.. probably on a subruvanagon .. it wouldn't hold speed or something ... and 'the problem' was .....the electronic control circuit for the cruise control did not like the LED brake light bulbs. Putting in conventional brake light bulbs fixed it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roger VanTill" <motelvw@GMAIL.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Friday, July 02, 2010 12:28 PM Subject: Re: Switch to LED lighting > Doesn't the factory cruise control have its own switch on the brake pedal? > I'd love to put good LEDs back there. > > On Fri, Jul 2, 2010 at 2:29 PM, Scott Daniel - Turbovans < > scottdaniel@turbovans.com> wrote: > >> I highly recommend LED tail lights. >> They're bulbs made up of a cluster of small red LED's... >> nice bright cherry red. >> no problems or issues at all. >> >> I did just read that LED brake light bulbs can confuse cruise control >> though. >> >> Scott >> www.turbovans.com >> >> >> ----- Original Message ----- >> From: "Brian T." <nobleman1962@YAHOO.COM> >> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> >> Sent: Friday, July 02, 2010 8:08 AM >> Subject: Switch to LED lighting >> >> >> I am wondering who has had success at switching to LED lighting for >> running >> lights/blinkers/tail lights? >> >> I'd to do this & would appreciate some mentorship. >> >> Thanks, >> Brian >>
