I somehow managed to lose mine. Found a replacement at a wrecking yard on
the windshield washer tank of an old Squareback. It's been working fine for
twenty years or so.

|
|Mine drips a bit. I come from desert camping background and water leaks
|are just not okay with me.
|
|The cap is a three-part construction: two plastic cap parts, and an
|elastomer ring captured between the two pieces. This latter provides a
|seat for the lip of the tank drain outlet. The ring seems a bit mooshed.
|
|I was thinking of replacing the seal with an o-ring, but it doesn't seem
|doable w/o disassembling the cap, and the two plastic parts are not
|looking like they would get with the program without breaking.
|
|Anyone dealt with this already?
