Subject:Re: Source for longer wheel bolts & studs?

Ok, machining 1.5mm material from EV wheels is not as easy as it looks...

Friend has a milling machine I can use (big 2hp drill press with sliding
bed), but is away for a few days. Any suggestions on what type of bit to
use? I looked at what he has and couldn't find anything suitable. If I could
machine a 2.5" (63mm) hole dead centre (or close) I'd be set. Can I get a
hole saw for cutting steel?

A grinding wheel on a drill isn't going to do it...
