I'll adjust it to a roadside sign and follow it if I'm curious about altitude ... also carry a Garmin Colorado 400T that is more accurate (I think) and sometimes consult that. The Casio is on my wrist and the Garmin I often carabiner-clip to a bungee cord I have strung between the small coat hanger nubs that are on the B pillar. Both are usually accurate to within about 100'. These came in handy recently in Idaho/Montana/Wyoming on a lot of back roads a mountain dirt roads (Pryor Mountain Wild Horse Range). It's mostly out of curiosity and sometimes taking GPS Long/Lat reads for location. bob
