I got a rebuild kit some years ago from Bus Depot I believe but the rebuild didn't work in my case. David Clarkson In a message dated 8/8/2010 5:43:17 P.M. It had been in storage a lot of years, and had not been run, but I finally got all the clean up and prep done so I could start it. It fired right up. I let it idle a bit, then shut it down. I have other work to do on it, but it runs and runs good. Now to my immediate problem. I have three Vans, and four dead power steering pumps I'm not real thrilled with the idea of spending $900 for three pumps for the vans, so I wish to look into rebuilding them myself. I did this on the alternators, when all the parts houses said they didn't sell parts but would accept as trade in my dead alternators. I repaired them myself with $15 worth of parts each, and I see no reason it cannot be done on the PS pumps - IF I can find a complete rebuild kit somewhere. Anyone have any idea where to get said complete pump rebuild kits? Thanks, John Rodgers -- John Rodgers Clayartist and Moldmaker 88'GL VW Bus Driver Chelsea, AL Http://www.moldhaus.com
