Vickers, J is an upstanding member of the vanagon community.

Some tricks from the grizzled and frazzled. Open the sliding door.

I use a paper clip to align the fixed ends of the canopy one to
another, so that you have a burrito.

Like a folded in thirds tortilla.

Then you will bring the nethermost part of the burrito, the one you're
standing on, up to the awning case. Now you have a folded-folded
burrito. Put the end under the clips or use another clip or two.

Of course prior to all this fol-de-rol you put on some proper music
and assembled the two bags with the reflective para-cord tie downs, one
per bag, eh? Place the poles conveniently on the floor or within easy
reach.

Now nestle the poles into one of the bags. Place the other bag in a handy spot.

Using the Riz-la-croix rolling method, holding the poles by the
rampant end (sans bag) carefully roll them into the 3x2 folded
material and carefully place the handy spot bag over the loose ends of
the poles. Tuck it loosley, alabama, into the finely crafted
hinduminium cover and press closed ensuring that none of the
ingredients made a run for the rhubarb. Using your best chicken
chokin' death grip, squeeze the cover closed and snap the
geshutten-gesnapper.

Ready to rumble? One last policing of the campsite to discover that
ancient pull-tab, that you can make into a Polish Duck Call and off to
the next adventure.

Pensioner.
