Dear Tony,

Two of my friends have written me to say "Gee, you're sounding as
cranky as I do...."  Without prejudice to the question of just how
cranky they are, I reckon I must have been, and I apologize.  Also
one of them addressed me as Mr. Moderator, so even though it was in
joking fashion I think I'd better be perfectly clear (I hope it was
already clear) that I was acting in my personal capacity and not in
any way as a moderator.  There was nothing to draw the moderators' attention.
