On our recent trip, my daughter, who just became a teenager kept going on about Porsches (she's a dreamer... :-), but my son, who is two years younger is much more grounded: "I want a Westy, Dad." A proud moment... :-) He's repeated it several times since then, so I guess I better start looking for another Westy... (and maybe a nice 70s 911) ;-) On Fri, Aug 20, 2010 at 8:26 PM, Werner Schink <werner.calnr@sbcglobal.net>wrote: > don't think this holds up the same way in california > > lots of women driving westy's too - my daughter has a syncro camper & > she'll > be driving to burning man for about the 4th time in a westy in a couple of > weeks - I had a 2WD Westy and one day we were driving the back road from > ferndale through huckleberry to weott on the lost coast up in humboldt and > she says, "if i every get a license i think i'd like to drive something > like > this" - i said, "if you ever do get a license, it's yours" - she got a > license a few years later (at about 27 years old) and has been driving a > westy ever since > > werner in Sac > > >Why is Vanagonery (as I've experienced it anyway) a lily-white > >pursuit?
