Subject:Re: How Hot Behind Dometic Fridge On 100+F Day? (insulation clearances)

Yes did what I could to add insulation behind fridge and I added what
I could behind cabinets L and R of the fridge. All told consisting of
1 layer cheapo bubble/1 side foil, 2" of blue board where I could
reach, 1" behind fridge at bottom "half". (that being where van body
curves in more.)

Suns out. I'll be curious if 1" insulates relatively the same as 2".

The way I read it, the 5" min. speced by the Dometic diagram is
basically 4" for fins etc., then 1" actual space between those "guts"
and whatever's behind it.

Thanks,

Neil.
