Anybody know what? That's probably the low end of the ballpark range for a
shop to do the tranny. You could have a rebuilt unit shipped to you and
install it yourself for somewhat less and you can do the whole job yourself
for quite a bit less if you're up to it. We just discussed some of this at
length in the thread about the kid with the blog that got stuck in Idaho (in
