I've been off the list for a couple months, after being connected since the beginning. I like "sightings." Vanagons are rare in South Dakota. I see one parked on Main Street in Rapid City next to a high end granite/stone/counter yard - it never moves. Today I was returning from hiking in the Bighorns in Wyoming and saw a red late 80s or early 90s non-westy vanagon with two bicycles on a bumper rack heading west. I was in a 99 suburban and about crawled through the window wanting to pump my arm and scream, "YES!!!!" They are so rare in the flyover zone... My favorite though is a westy in a driveway at the top of the hill between Franklin and Beverly Way in SAnta Rosa. My folks live on Beverly Way and when I crest the hill, look right, there is the westy. I am warmed... Jeffrey Olson Martin, SD
