Since you have fluid near the air filter I would suspect the pressure line.
If there is any oil in that sleeve the line is probably leaking.

Subject: Power Steering Leak

OK, this is going to sound like a bonheaded question to some but here goes
anyway:

I have developed a leak in the power steering - I'm asking for any
suggestions on tracking down exactly where the leak is comming from. THe PS
system is one I've never really messed with (previous issues I've cut the
belt and lived with it).

THe leak is near the pump somewhere but I can't tell if it's the pump or the
lines. There is evidence of fluid on the plastic housing that comes fromt he
Air Filter box to the area behind the passenger side tail light and there is
alos a sign of fliud in the area to the left of the pump - so both side of
where the pump is.

When I fill up the revisoir (with ATF - I'm a good boy) - things work just
fine so the pump seems to be working OK when there is sufficient fluid.

Again kind of a silly question but I've looked and I just can't see exactly
where it's leaking - suggestions and tips are greatly appreciated.
