Subject:Re: [Syncro] Re: syncro - shift linkage protective pipe

Hi,

its seems from responses I have received that the protective pipe was
standard on late model syncros here in north america (89 - 91)

its may have been available earlier in Europe (an option), and it may
have been standard on 16" syncros.

In any case, I think it might be a worthwhile addition. I did have
some shifting issues last year, when driving in slush and snow and
dropping temps. Build up of ice on shift rod made it difficult to
shift. I think it was mainly due to the U-joint being exposed.

My '89 syncro has one. Delivered to Colorado originally. I can check
the sales receipt to see if there were any special packages included.
