Bill, I much appreciated the door strap as I told you.  I tried to pay you for it, and still will if you'll let me.  I am flabbergasted that someone would consider my statement concerning the cookies to be anything other than a statement of preference.  The cookies are not good, and I'd rather the shop would not include cookies or anything else other than what I ordered in what I get.  That seems simple, and a reasonable way to do business to me.  It doesn't mean the shop isn't good at what it does, it is excellent and much appreciated.  It would be great if ALL businesses I interacted with were as good as Van Cafe.
