I am replacing a failed lifter in my 84 camper, and so far I am unable
to get the new replacement lifter to fit into the bore.  I can get it in
maybe 1/8, and then no further.

I am assuming the problem is it is not lined up "just right", but so far
am having no luck with this.

Any suggestions?
