RE: Driving conditions heading south in January
There is good info online on road conditions all along the way.  And good
weather info to supplement that.  I watch the weather for about two weeks
before taking off, expecially the last couple of years going down 395.  I
didn't even consider 395 through Washington, Oregon and into California.
