no, not normal for grease to be coming out of the bearing cap.
I'd say either there is excessive amounts of grease in there,
or the cap does not fit correctly.

Subject: Grease leaking/spreading out of hub cover.
Hey everyone,
I replaced my bearing and re-did the breaks in my 84 westy this spring. So
far so good. Little break noise but I am sure that is because of the shotty
workmanship of Myself.
I have noticed since that after driving for a while the front right tire has
grease coming out of the hub cover on my GW 16" alloy wheels. I ma
wondering if this is normal to have excess grease push outward.
Thanks guys,
