Sorry to hear you're having all this difficulty Drew, and man, if a rebuilt one is available .. at this point I'd sure take my chances with that. or convert to manual window on that side..or something. 'sometimes' Absolute German .. a german car junkyard in Seattle ... can come through with a good used vanagon part. in all of vanagon land there have to be a few options for you. hey ...driver's side .. I have never in my life understood why cars have power windows on both sides.. I mean for the passenger's side ..sure, since you can't reach that side easily by yourself.. but no need for the driver's side to be power .. I can supply you with a good used manual driver's window regulator and necessary parts. .. I suspect you don't like that idea and are determined to get a working power window back for your driver's door. I hope something shows up for you. ----- Original Message ----- From: "VW Vanagon" <t3vanagon@GMAIL.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Saturday, November 06, 2010 11:25 PM Subject: URGENT PART NEEDED!!!! 90 GL > Howdy volks- > > As some of you know (apologies for the repeated posts over the past couple > of months) I've been searching for some parts to complete the current > round > of necessary repairs on Blackbeard. > Unfortunately my mechanic, while agreeing to let me find parts on my own, > has now grown more than impatient with the fact that it's taking as long > as > it has. > > So now, after being completely flaked on by a couple of previously-held > "reliable" vendors and people with parts that turned out to be the wrong > thing (no offense intended), I'm STILL in need of one crucial piece that > is > needed before the current round of repairs can be completed. > > As such, I will now BEG for SOMEONE to come forward with something that I > can use. . . > > It's actually a seemingly simple request.
