Jake, I just took measurements on both Wal-Mart batteries! (The lower cost 1-Year warranty $67) 780 Amp/650 CCA Group 41 is: 12 1/4" long, 6 3/4" deep, and 7" high. (The BETTER 3-Year warranty $77) 875 Amp/700 CCA Group 48 battery is: 11." long, 6 7/8" deep, 6 7/8" high. The battery compartment in my 84 Westy (starter battery is): 12 5/16" long, 7 1/16" deep, 7 1/8" high So, I took out my Wal-Mart group 41 and replaced it with the Group 48... A somewhat perfect fit. The support bracket doesn't fit, but that's a pain anyway! My Volvo will get the Group 41, as my Vanagon deserves the best!!! Thanks for bringing this to our attention!!!
