listmember david luddy from here in Pa has one of these volvo engines in
his '86 vanagon. ive seen his conversion in person..  pretty sweet.

There  are photos of this engine in a T3. You probably need to sign up an
account in  order to see the pictures in the post. Some custom work for the
tranny  adapter, engine mount, coolant pipes, exhaust, etc.  Interesting
thing is  it fits the engine compartment. Let me see if this gets the picture to
see  them:
