How about a zipper already installed on the screen ready to
hand-stitch onto the tent material.  Probably wouldn't end up nice
and tight, but would be a great deal easier than removing the
tent.  And as I mentioned, the application I have in mind (Millies
van) has the same problem with the canvas window.
